Materials you will need to knit Monster Monstera toy:

• Acrylic worsted weight yarn in purple, grey, white, brown, pink, a little DK yarn in yellow and black
• Knitting needles – US size 2  / 2.75 mm (for the eye, eye lid) and US size 5 or 6  / 3.75 mm or 4mm for the rest
• mattress needle, sewing needle (for making removable stitches)
• polyester or cotton for stuffing
• Small sharp scissors
• Fork

The pattern is designed for intermediate level knitters. The toy is knitted in the round with double-pointed knitters. Make sure you are comfortable with knitting in the round before starting the project.

Required skills: Casting on and off, Knit, purl, increase, knit two stitches together, purl two stitches together. Some pieces of the toy are knitted in the flat.

The toy is around 17.5 inches (45 cm) tall (the size of the toy depends on the size of the yarn and knitting needles as well as on how tightly you are knitting)

The pdf pattern guides you to make different pieces and then guides how to make up the toy. It is easy and fun to make this toy. The pattern is designed for intermediate level skilled knitters.
