Waldorf dolls are usually made with a stretchy cotton jersey fabric and stuffed with wool. Head is shaped in a way that the doll has distinct cheeks, nose, eyes. Lola was knitted with the inspiration taken from a Waldorf doll technique. Although we will be using some of the similar techniques applied for the actual Waldorf Doll creation, still our doll will be slightly different.

The doll knitting pattern is designed for intermediate level knitters who are comfortable with knitting the projects in the round. All other techniques are fairly easy and up to your determination to create a lovely doll.

materials needed:

• Merinos wool yarn in offwhite (350 meters in 100 gr): about 170 meters (186 yards)
• A set of 5 double pointed knitting needles: 3.5 mm
• 2 extra double pointed needles or stitch holders
•  4 mm knitting needles 
• Stuffing: polyester
• Tapestry needle, doll needle

The doll is around 45 cm (17.7 inches) tall.
